Here we were asked to design a new book cover for the children’s classic ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’.

I went on to research more into the roots of the story and its creator.

Once I had learned more about the book I decided I wanted to keep the design scary and strange but still have it appealing to children.

To do this I created creepy looking silhouettes of different characters from the story, so you could have a selection of book covers to choose from.

I also used bright colours for the characters and a cartoony and adventures typeface to make it look like it was a book that children shouldn’t be aloud to have, but were aloud, which would make them want it more.
