My name’s Siôn and I’m a designer / creative based in Swansea, currently working for Pentagon Design Ltd.

I have a love of typography and minimal brand design, yet I actively try my best to not have a design style. I do this in order to approach any creative project appropriately, whether it be for digital marketing, brand identity or just art pieces (that I create in my own time).

I’m a passionate martial artist and combat sports competitor, with a 4th Dan Black Belt in Karate a 1st Dan Black Belt in Kick Boxing, along with multiple Welsh Caps and Titles for my country.

Combat Sports:
I’m a former 2 X National Champion in Karate and 3 X National Title Contender in Kick Boxing. I fight out of Bungie’s Gym, Swansea and represent Budokan Wales every time I step into the Ring, Octagon or onto the Tatami.

When it comes to training, I always try my best to improve my capabilities, and even though I know I will never be World or European Champion in these sports, I will always grab every opportunity I can to train along side current champions and professionals in order to learn off the people who do possess the talent to go that far in combat sports.

Home & Family:
At home, I have a Fox Red Labrador called Zen, and a mischievous black cat called Sugar Ray Leonard and the 3 of us live together with my fiancée and soon to be wife Lauren.

We’re currently going through a major house renovation, where we’re working on building our dream home for our future together as husband and wife.

As well as having strong passions for creativity, combat sports and my little family, I also can not live without music.

Even though 75% of my listening time is filled with house music and drum and bass, my all time favourite bands and artist include Oasis / Liam Gallagher, The Stone Roses / Ian Brown, The Streets and Kano.

(Side note: I’ve seen The Stone Roses live 3 times and each experience has been life changing)

Books / Podcasts:
I’m a firm believer in: “Be the best you can possibly be and the rest will fall into place”

In order to do this, I constantly try and better myself with books and podcasts, whether they’re self help, time management, autobiographies or imaginative fiction. There’s a lesson in every book if you look for one.

To conclude:
Even though I’m generally a terrible writer and an even worse speller, I’ve started this blog so I have a place to share my thoughts, ideas, rants, and opinions on my multiple passions.

The plan is, I intend to write a little bit every day. If I stick to this plan, then I’ll work out what the next stage of the plan is.
