Here’s  a logo I helped design while at work with Pentagon Design ltd.

Its for welshrugby.tv – the new internet TV channel that gives you behind the scene access to the Welsh Rugby team, training sessions, interviews and loads more.

It’s also presented by Gareth ‘Alfie’ Thomas!

Here’s a picture of Dewi Pws taken back in 2006.

He’s quite a character and has a great sense of humor.

He’s best known for being an actor, musician, poet and clowning around.

For this brief I was asked to “Produce a visual statement which describes the essence of Rowan Williams.”

My answer to this brief was to create 3 double sided posters that hung from the ceiling, so that when you walked underneath them you would see the two different sides of Rowan Williams.

They would also show the two extreme sides of Christianity, which show Rowan Williams in a different way to how people might originally portray him.

“Create an original and underground viral to drive a diverse and creative audience to the Fred Perry Subculture music website.”

After doing my research and talking to different people I came up with the idea of creating an interactive viral that starts off as a TV advert and ends up with you digesting the promotional info for the Subculture website in the comfort of your own home, while getting yourself a free Fred Perry Subculture USB stick along the way.

I created the underground advert in the style of a Pirate TV takeover by Fred Perry Subculture, with a lack of info to keep the audience intrigued.

I created the advert in Adobe After Effects giving it a grime, grunge, underground look.

Once you do what the ad says and text ‘WTF?!’ to 08800 you get sent a text message containing a link for you to visit on the computer.

On the website you have to fill in a form to get your free USB stick containing promotional info about the Fred Perry Subculture website, some free mp3’s and a Desktop Wallpaper.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this brief and had great fun creating my finished outcomes.

BUT – You can not be asked to create a viral as it is impossible. A viral creates itself, and I hope I met the requirements for this form of advertisement to become a viral.

For Christmas my brother and sisters got me the book – ‘$ellebrity, My angling and tangling with famous people’ By George Lois.

While reading through this book all the 60’s and 70’s magazine designs appealed to me. I then decided to give ‘Preppy’ a different look and feel after being inspired by many of the old ‘Esquire’ magazine covers.

Here I decided to do a modern remake of the ‘Back to college September 1965′ issue of ‘Esquire’ using young heartthrobs of the present day as the main source of imagery rather than the leading heroes of the (then) American youth.

Pacquiao vs Mayweather is going to be the biggest fight in years, and according to the news its should be happening this spring, after it was almost called off due to Mayweather playing up about drug tests.

Here’s my poster design for the fight.

I haven’t seen any other posters for the fight yet since its not a signed deal, but here’s mine all the same.

These images are from my third shoot with Jess.

We went for a ‘Raver Party Girl’ look, using bright coloured clothing and makeup to get the desired effect.

These shots were inspired after seeing the photographer Jim Marks on the TV show ‘Coleen’s real women’ -

(There was nothing else on.)

Here’s my redesign of the Harry Brown poster and DVD Case.

As soon as i watched the trailer I decided I wanted to do something for it.

Its a great film and I really enjoyed it.

For this brief we were asked to design a new book cover for the best seller: ‘Perfume – The Story Of A Murderer’.

I wanted to keep the design 3tone and very minimal, to not give much away as it is such a complex and deep story.

To give a hint of what the story is about I created an optical illusion for the front cover to give a taster of whats inside.

I wanted to keep it discreet and subtle while also making it clear enough to never forget once the reader found it.
